Hotel  Ani Plaza in Yerevan is locating in the center of the city at the walking distance from Opera House, Historical Museum and Republic Square. There are 99 rooms at the hotel. Hotel Dilijan resort locates in the bautiful town called Dilijan, in the middle of magnificiant mountains. There are 71 rooms at the hotel which have bathroom, satellite TV, phone and minibar. There are also a restuarant, bar, meeting rooms and swimming pool at the hotel. www.hoteldilijan.am    

Hotel Arak in Guymri is hugh standard hotel just in the center of the city. There are 17 room including all fascilities. There are also s restauranr, bar, meeting halls in the hotel. www.arakshotel.am

 

Itinerary

Friday 8h of June, 2012

At 14.45 meeting the group at Helsinki airport. Tour leader has a sign "Armenia". At 16.45 Czech Airlines flight to Praha arriving at 10.00. At 21.40 flight to  Jerevan arriving in the morning at 04.20.

  

Saturday 9th of June, 2012

After arriving at Jerevan, where the local guide is waiting for the group at the airpor,  transfer to the hotel, where rest until midday. At noon a city tour in Jerevan including Armenian Genocide and historical museum. Dinner in the restaurant.  

Sunday 10th of June, 2012

After breakfast tour Echmniatzin, the Patriarcate fo Armenain Apostolic church. Afterthe  legend Jesus Christ descended here from Heaven to show where he wanted his church to be built. There is the centrum of Armenia´s Apostolic Church, museum with great amount of valuale relics and Sunday service. On the way there are the ruins of Zvartnots palace and the church of Saint Ripsime convent where will be visited to the way to Echmiadzin. Dinner in Jerevan

 

Monday 11th of June, 2012

After breakfast depart   to the South, to Ararat area. The first stop will be the monastery of Khor Virap which was build in the place where adoption of Christianity in Armenia happened in 301. It´s possible to take pictures of the mountain Ararat which is located on the area of Turkey. After the monaestery the tour continues to Vayots Dzor, where Noravank monastery is locating on the hill of beautiful mountain. Possibnle to make shopping in the monasetery shop. Then the tour continues to the village of Aren which is famous for its red wine. After wine tasting we continue to Sevan lake through Selim pass and will visit Sevanavank church after getting to the hotel in Dilijan for overnight and dinner.

Tuesday 12th of Julu, 2012

After breakfast tour in Dilijan town in the handicraft shops. and futher to Goshavank monastery locating on the beautiful scenery in the hill. Monastery is today as a parsih church.  On the way there are two villages of Old Believers who were brought here in the regime of Catherine II in Russia, mainly from Tambov area. Again we drive to Haghpat monasetery, which is part of UNESCO programs. After a lunch break we continue to Guymri city in the west for overnight and dinner.      

Wednesday 13th of June, 2012

After breakfast a city tour in Guymri, which is known as a former capital but also there was an enormous earthake in 1988. There is a litlte left from the old architecture. A lot of donators from different countries came to help and for the memory of this they gave many statues to the city which decorate now all the places in the Guymri. In the afternoon drive to Jerevan visiting Ashtarak town and Amberd fortress by the road. Dinner and overnight in jerevan.  

Thursday 14th of June, 2012                                                                                      After breakfast depart for Gerghard monastery. On the way back visit Garni Temple. It is possible to have a concert by famous Garni acapella group. See extar costs.  In Jerevan tour in Sergei Parajonov musuem before dinner.

Friday 15th of June, 2012                                                                                            Early transfer to the airpot. Flight at 5.15  to Pague, arrive at 6.15. Connection fliht to Helsinki depart at 12.40, arrvie at 16.00.
