Itinerary
Thursday 11.10.2012
At 7.00 depart from Joensuu. Bus will drive to Lappeenranta (connection train from Helsinki). Drive to Nuijamaa border, where after the passport control drive to St Peterburg. On the way the tour leader will tell about the themes of the tour, possibility to buy icon painting equipments.
Friday 12.10.2012
Breakfast. Depart to Russian Museum, where presentation the old icons of the museum. Visit the department of avantgarde where a lecture: "Icon and avangrade in Russian art". After lunch break visit Holy Russia exhibition. The day ends to Aleksander Nevsky Lavra, where presentation the icon painting school of Lavra and wrkshop as well as the monastery.
Saturday 13.10.2012
Breakfast. Lectutre "Miracle making icons" visiting the church of St Nicholaos and miracle making icon of Saint. Also visit Kazanski Cathedral where miracle making icon of Kazanski Our Lady. After a lunch break visit the chruch dedicated to the icon of Our Lady of All Sorrowed, where the iconostasis of G. Gashev. In the evening possible to visit the iconpainting ateljee.

Breakfast. Depart for Finland. On the way shopping in Vyborg. From Lappeenranta a connection train to Helsinki. Around 20.00 arrive at Joensuu.
