Our company

Culture and Monastery tours is owned by Joensuu Congress and Travel Service Ltd, which is a private company founded in 1990.In those years Soviet Union was collapsed and Russia was born again. It was our chance to organise this company and start to make tours to Russia.

Our company is a small but very well specialised and organised tour operator. We have a great network in Finland as well as abroad. We have 2-3 persons working in the office and 5 part time workers in different tasks.

Icon shop

We have an icon exhibition and shop in our office. The icons have been painted by local painters.

Office

We have our office in Joensuu, a snmall town in East Finland, 500 km to Helsinki as well as to St Petersburg. The nearest border is Niirala-Värtsilä, 80 km from Joensuu and from there 60 km to the harbour in Sortavala where the boat to Old Valamo departs.

The office is open from Monday to Friday 10-16.00.
