Icon painting course in Andrei Rublev museum in Moscow.

We offer you an unique possibility to take part in icon painting course in Moscow in andrei Rublev´s museum. The teacher is Natalia Aldoshina.

• train tickets Helsinki-Moscow-Helsinki in 4 bed cabin, extra fee for dbl cabin is 45 e/one way/person,
• accommodation at pilgrimage hostel in Moscow, 2 or 5 person in a room, 5 nights,
• class room in Andrei Rublev museum, guided tour in exhibitions,
• tour leader from Finland (Elizaveta Korpelainen),

From Helsinki to Moscow it is a train tri by Tolstoi -train, see the time table in the itinerary.

Accommodation is at he pilgrimage hostel, which is a small accommodation place in the center near Oktjyabarskaya metro station. Shower and toilets are in the hall. Meals are not included into the price. You can order the meals at the hostel in administrator, price about 100 - 150 rubles/meal.
Transfers in Moscow are cheap by metro, but taxis is also possible to order. Taxi costs 300-500 rubles/one way and takes 3 persons at a time in a car.  Tour leader Elizaveta Korpelainen will take a group to Moscow and take care of you there.

Teaching and teachers:
Teaching is organised in Andrei Rublev museum. In the course you are practising to paint and draw small icons, tablets or you can just paint fragments of old icons. Everyone will choose own icons which will be copied during the week.  For working you need cardboard covered smoothly for both sides  by lafkas. You can prepare them by yourself or our tour leader will have them and you buy them by 5 e/one cardboard. 

 Main teacher is Natalia Aldoshina´s assistant and student, Irina,  who is teaching 3 days in a week. Her student is helping her in those days when she is not available. On Wednesday it is possible to visit Sergijev Pozad where Natalia is presenting her and her students´ work and at Academy.

The course is a tailor made  program as an individual teaching, where everyone is working according her own level. 

Itinerary

Sunday 4.7.2919

At 18.00 meeting the tour leader at Helsinki railway station. At 18.25 Tolstoi-train to Moscow. There is money exchange in the train between Kouvola-Vainikkala. There is a restaurant car in the train.

Monday 5.7.2010                                                                                                  At 8.30 arrive at Moscow. Metro to the hostel. We order breakfast for all beforehand. Metro to Andrei Rublev museum, where the course starts. First presentation of the exhibitions and choosing the icons which you are painting.  At 17.00 the day ends. Free time.

Tuesday 6.7.2010 
Breakfast. Metro to museum. Working by their own. There is a representative from the museum who is helping if needed. Lunch and coffee breaks. At 17.00 the day ends. Free time.

Wednesday 7.7.2010 
Breakfast. Tour to Sergijev Pozad either by bus or electric train. Tour in the monastery, Lavra. Relics of St Sergei Radonez. Presentation the Spiritual Academy led by N. Aldoshina. Possible to have lunch at Academy. Return to Moscow in the evening. 

Thursday 8.7.2010 
Breakfast. Working by their own. There is a representative from the museum who is helping if needed. Lunch and coffee breaks. At 17.00 the day ends. Free time.

Friday 9.7.2010
Breakfast. Evaluation of the work. In the afternoon possible to visit some churches in Moscow. 

Saturday 10.7.2010                                                                                              This is free day in Mosocw.  In the evening at 22.50 Tolstoi - train to Helsinki

At 11.33 arrive at Helsinki.
