Hotels:
Hotel Severnaja locates in down town of Petrozavodsk in the street of Lenin. There are 180 rooms in hte hotel, 50 double and 40 single rooms with toilets and shower in rooms. The rooms are in the 2nd and 3rd floors and there is no lift at the hotel. In the first floor there are restaurant, bar, bank automat, hair dresser and in the 2nd there are café and souvenir shop. Hotel has been sold to a privtae owners and there might be some changes until the summer.

Hotel Kargopol locates in the center of the town 5 minutes walk from the old Cathdral Square. The hotel was built a few years ago and it is new and modern. There are shower in every room, TV and phone. In the hotel there are restaurant, saunas, meeting rooms and bar. http://www.solovkibp.ru
Hotel Dvina in Arkhangel locates in the center of thr city. There are 242 rooms the the hotel having bath /shower, TV, phone and fridge in every room. The hotel has many kind of services like saunas, meeting rooms, restaurants, bar and tocket office. Near the hotel there are all the main shops and super market is in the basement.
Sura Guest house is in the center of the village. Accommodation is in bigger rooms, 4 beds in each. Men and women have own rooms. There is a sauna in the yard working a s washing room. Meals are served in the cafe.
Hotel Olonga in Olonez was built in 1980´s in the center of the town and in last three, fours years there have been made construction works in the restaurant, reception hall and in part of the rooms. There are 17 double and 6 single rooms in the third floor and there is no lift in the hotel. In the first floor there are restaurant and bar, meeting room and sauna. http://intourist.onego.ru
Program
Day 1
Train from Helsinki to Kitee departs at 07.12 arriving at 11.10. The bus is waiting for the group in Kitee railway station. From Joensuu the bus departs at 10.00 and arrives at Kitee railway station at 11.00. Drive to Niirala-Värtsilä border station, where passport control. Coffee or lunch break after the border in a cafe. Drive to Petrozavodsk, where check in at Pohjola -hotel. Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. City tour in Petrozavodsk. Depart by a bus via Karhumäki and to Pudosh. Lunch break at Karhumäki. Visit Memorial cemetery of Sandarmoh. Drive to Pudosh for overnight and dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast. Drive via Kenozera national park to Kargopol, where check-in at the hotel. City tour in Kargopol area including visits Lyadina village, icon exhibition, the church of John the Baptist and Annunciation of Our Lady and Market Square. Dinner.
Day 4 Breakfast and depart for Archangel. On the way visit the old village where are the wooden churches built 17th-18th century. Also there is a stop in Plesetsk, which is one of those space centers near Myrni, which is closed town. In the afternoon arrive at Archangel, where check-in at Dvina hotel. Dinner.
Day 5
Breakfast. City tour in Archangel including Museum of Fine Arts. Lunch in the afternoon. Transfer to railway station, where train at 16.40 form Karpogori and to Pinega region. In the train there are beds for resting and a restaurant car. Train arrives in Karpogori at 22.00. Drive by bus to Sura village, where tea break before overnight at Village Guest House.
Day 6
Breakfast. Tour in the beautiful village and visiting a small convent and museum which is located next to the convent. Churches and other builidings were built at the time of John Kronstadt. Visit the grave of St John´s parents. Folk music progra at lunch. Drive to Verkola village where from the shore of Pinega river, boat to Verkola monastery. Presentation the monastery and the life of St Artem Verkolski. Boat back to the village. Tour in the museum of the writer Feodor Abramov. Drive to Karpogori, dinner at Vaimuu village in the museum with folk music performance. Half past midmight the train to Archangel, overnight in cabins.
Day 7 At 5.45 the train arrives at Archangel, where the bus will transfer to the hotel. Breakfast and free day in Archangel. Dinner.
Day 8
After breakfast we depart for Finland staying 2 nights on the way. It is a long drive via Kargopol and Pudosh to Vytegra. Main meal in Pudosh. Overnight at Vytegra village hotel.
Day 9
Breakfast. A short tour nin Vytegra, where are 2 old churches dated to 18th century. Drive along the Svir -river via Osta, Lodeinaja Pole and Svriski monastery to Olonetz for overnight and dinner.
Day 10 Breakfast. Drive to Finland via Vitele, Salmi and Piktäranta. Border crossing at Värtsilä border station. The train from Kitee departs at 18.50 for Helsinki arriving at 23.15. The bus continues from Kitee to Joensuu
