Hotels

Hotel Russ in Kiev is located close to the main street of Kiev, Kreschatik. There are 400 rooms in the hotel, which all have bath / shower, satellite TV, phone and fridge. There are several restaurants, bars and conference room in the hotel.

Podchaiv monastery hostel  locates next to the monastery area. Hotel is quite small but there is a shower and toilet in each room. There is a restaurant for breakfast.

Hotel Opera locates in the center of old town Lvov in the historical building where was a hotel already in year 1875. Renovation was made in this hotel and it was renamed "New York". It worked by that name until 1950s.  There is a bathroom, internet, air condition, TV, minibar and phone in each room. There are also restaurants and other services for instance an art gallery.

 Saturday 11.9.2010

At 8.00 meeting the tour leader at the aiport in Helsinki. At 9.55 (terminal 1)flight by Air Baltic BT 302 to Kiev via Riga.  Arrive in Kiev at 14.50. Transfer to the hotel for checking.dinner. 

Sunday 12.9.2010

Breakfast. Tour starts by walking to Sophia cathedral and further to old town of Podil. The tour continues by bus to Kiev Petsherski monastery for guided tour. Back to the hotel. Dinner.

Monday 13.9.2010       

After the breakfast departure to Podchaiv. Drive will take approximately 6-7 hours. We will stop at he villages which are on the road. Arrive in Podchaiv in the evening, check-in and dinner in the hotel.

Tuesday 14.9.2010

After breakfast guided tour in the monastery of Podchaiv. The monastery was born when the monks escaped the attack of the Mongols.According to a legend Our Lady emerged in the hill and left a footprint from which flows holy water. In the afternoon we will continue to the city of Lvov. Drive will take about 1,5 hour. Check-in and dinner. 

 Wednesday 15.9.2010

After breakfast a guided tour in the historical centrum and other buildings of Lvov. Afternoon free time. Dinner.

Thursday 16.9.2010

After the breakfast departure to Kiev. Hotel is the same. Check in and dinner.  

Friday 17.9.2010

Breakfast. Free time in Kiev. After 12.00 transfer to the airport, where at 15.30  flight via Riga to Helsinki arriving at 19.15.
